உள்ளே / பெரிய இடம்

• Large areas: city, country
• Inside a room, or a small vehicle where you sit

I am in Madurai.
I am in the kitchen.
I am in a car.

at

குறிப்பிட்ட இடம்

• Small area or one exact point: home, school, office
• A place you go to for an activity

I am at home.
I am at the school.
I am at a cafe.

on

பொது வாகனம் / மேலே

• Large public transport where you can stand or walk
• Something you sit on top of, like a bike

I am on a bus.
I am on the flight.
I am on a bike.

Taxi, car or bus? A taxi or car is small and you sit inside, so use in. A bus, ship or flight is large and public, and you can stand or walk, so use on. On a bike you sit on top, so use on.
